This Saturday, June 28th, 2025, the Jiu-Jitsu community will come together at Southern Connecticut State University for one of the most meaningful events of the year: the Tap Cancer Out tournament.

More than just a competition, Tap Cancer Out is a powerful movement of solidarity. It’s when athletes, academies, and supporters of Jiu-Jitsu unite for a greater purpose: fighting cancer. All funds raised during the event go directly to organizations that support this fight — turning every match into a message of hope.
We’re proud to announce that Gracie Sports has officially been recognized as a Tap Cancer Out Ambassador Academy. This honor reflects the collective effort of our students, coaches, and community who took action to raise awareness and contribute to a cause bigger than ourselves.
This recognition is proof of what we’ve built together: a strong, united community driven by values that go beyond competition.
A special thanks to Professor Dino Cotilletta and Danny Trudo for their commitment and determination in spreading the message and supporting the mission.
This weekend, Gracie Sports will stand tall — as a team, as a family, and as a reminder that Jiu-Jitsu can be a force for real change.
See you at Tap Cancer Out. Let’s keep showing the world what we represent — on and off the mats.
